    Neuropathic jaw mouth pain

Dr. Eli has saved my life with the pain I’ve suffered with for 5 years now. He is very knowledgeable about how to treat and diagnose what’s going on. I’ve seen countless doctors and even had a surgery. I found Dr. Eli this year and I am so much better and feel so blessed. I can eat, talk and drink without horrific pain. He deserves all the credit for figuring out how to treat me. Goes out of his way to help you however he can. Amazing man

I have been dealing with TMJ and jaw pain for years with relief from other providers, but not with any improvement or hope for resolution. Dr. Eli has a completely different approach to the problem. What I like best about him is that he explains everything so clearly, you understand exactly how his approach will benefit you. That makes it easy to make the decision to become his patient.

    Simply the BEST!

I have been a patient with Dr. Eli for the last 8 years. I have Atypical Trigeminal Neuralgia, Occipital Neiralgia, and Glossopharyngeal Neuralgia. Dr. Eli was the first doctor who actually took my pain seriously and understood what my condition was. He had a plan and a back up plan for treatment. He truly cares about me and my family. He always answers his emergency pager, even if it’s 3am and I am in the ER. He thinks outside the box and is always looking for better ways to treat my pain

Dr. Eli is a great doctor who genuinely cares about his patients

Dr. Eli spent hours working with me to help find me a diagnosis. I am 25 years old and I was on disability due to my facial pain. Without Dr. Eli I would not have been able to get back to work and functioning again. He is always prompt and willing to help at any hour of the day if needed. I would highly recommend Dr. Eli

      Sleep Apnea/ Snoring

The basic problem in obstructive sleep apnea is that the oral cavity tissues collapses against the back of your throat, blocking the airway. Your breathing stops until your brain startles you out of a deep sleep to take a gasping breath. This recurring “panic” at night sets up a situation where stress hormones stay chronically elevated, which in turn contributes to the diseases closely associated with sleep apnea, like diabetes, heart disease, depression, and obesity.

      Headaches

There are a vast number of different types of headaches and a multitude of potential causes. But out of these, none is more influential that TMJ dysfunction. Around 50% of chronic headaches are associated with TMJ dysfunction. The close physiological relationship between the jaw and neck structures and the shared innervation by the trigeminal nerve are the basis for this strong association. Here we outline a few of the common headache types we see in our patients.

      TMJ

Disorders of the temporomandibular joint (i.e. the “TMJ”) can be quite serious, affecting ones’s ability to eat, speak, swallow, chew, and even breathe. This can result in severe disability and reduction in quality of life. There are 30 distinct conditions that fall under the umbrella of “TMJ”. This being said, there are three basic categories that TMJ disorders tend to fall into: mechanical problems, degenerative problems, and jaw muscle problems.

      Face Pain

Chronic facial pain is usually due to pathology of the trigeminal nerve. The trigeminal nerve, also called the 5th cranial nerve, is responsible for sensation in the face and head region, along with some other specialized functions. Our practice treats a wide variety of facial pain disorders, with treatments ranging from simple conservative measures to nerve blocks, joint injections, and other procedural interventions.
